Autumn Term 2026 Weekly Updates
Autumn Term 1, Week 2 - W/c 07.09.26
This week we began our topic ‘Let’s Explore Woodhall Farm’. Geography Georgie had left us some clues and a postcard of what we could find in our local area. We went on a treasure hunt outside to find the clues. We found out that in our local area we have flats/houses, shops, schools, dentist and a park! We are looking forward to seeing some of these things on our local area walk next week.
In Maths we have been recapping what children learnt in Reception. This week we focused on positional language and ordinal numbers.
In English we began to read our new story ‘Jasper’s Beanstalk’. We looked at Jasper’s gardening equipment and labelled the tools he uses. We made sure that our label was written from left to right and our letters were spaced out equally.
