Nursery Admissions 2026/2027

If your child was born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023 then they will be able to join our Nursery in September 2026.

We have a 40-place Nursery which runs between 9am and 12 noon each day with the option of extending until 3pm. Each child is eligible for 15 hours free childcare and depending on your circumstances you may be eligible for 30 hours; we are proud to take part in the Government's 30 hours free childcare scheme.

Choosing a Nursery for your child is a very important decision, to help you we have organised opportunities to visit our school. During a visit, you see the interactions between staff and children and how children use the learning spaces.

Arrangements For The Admission Of Pupils With Disabilities

The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 defines a disabled person as one who has a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on a persons ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. Most children with Special Needs will not be disabled within the meaning of the Act.

The admission of pupils with disabilities is considered in the first instance in the same way as non-disabled pupils. Further considerations are made in the light of need and accessibility. It is the Governors Policy to accommodate pupils with disabilities should parents wish and individual needs are planned for to prevent any pupils being treated less favourably than other pupils.

In practice we ensure that classroom and extra curricular activities encourage the participation of all pupils, including those categorised as having Special Educational Needs. Staff organise human and physical resources within the school to increase access to learning and participation by all pupils.

Existing facilities provided to assist access to the school by pupils with disabilities:

  • Wheelchair access onto school grounds at the main entrance on Shenley Road and the rear entrance on Arkley Road
  • Wheelchair access into the school at all entrances and all rooms.
  • Carpeted classrooms to aid hearing-impaired pupils’ learning.
  • Exterior lighting to improve evening access.
  • Routes to the main entrance are clearly signed and free from obstructions.
  • 2 disabled parking spaces in the staff car park (Please call the office if you need to use this to drop off and pick up your child)
